Louisiana Physical Therapist Helps Patients With State of Art Diagnostic Testing

Dr, Kostopoulos & Dr. Cochran demonstrating Diagnostics to Physical Therapists

Musculoskeletal ultrasound is an imaging modality that can be used to evaluate nerve, tendon, muscle, ligament, and joint disorders and to guide therapeutic procedures. Use of this diagnostic tool is rapidly becoming the standard of care for visualizing the musculoskeletal anatomy and evaluating and managing joint tissue disorders. Hands-On Diagnostics (HODS), a New York-based national franchise company, helps Physical Therapists establish diagnostic technologies within their practices.

A HODS partner, Brian Cochran of CARE Physical Therapy (Covington, Louisiana), has developed a widely successful and well-known practice with six facilities within the state of Louisiana. He is dedicated to high-quality work and advancement of the Physical Therapy profession.

It is great news for patients because now they can receive even better, efficient and accurate care from their PTs. It's great news for PTs because adding diagnostics to a practice enhances their ability to create more effective treatment plans for their patients and enhances the revenue for their practices. These tests are payable to PTs by insurance.

Dr. Dimitrios Kostopoulos, President & Co-Founder

Since partnering with HODS, he's been making an even bigger difference in the lives of his patients and community through his added capabilities with diagnostics.

As a well-respected practitioner, Brian recently organized an exclusive event to share HODS' new technology and paradigm shift with other Louisiana PTs. Brian's goal was simply to continue to uplift the PT community and expand the knowledge of what is truly possible within the profession.

The Louisiana Board of Physical Therapy recently declared musculoskeletal ultrasound within the scope of physical therapy practice. That news is significant for both patients and physical therapists.

This event opened the road for positive changes in the state of Louisiana and within the profession. Brian is a pioneer, a leader and a team player and this is why he received a High Commendation by the HODS Board!
